“We Need To Stand Together” – Ferdi Moolman

We have a dream…

One day, we will all be able to walk free, party with our friends and dance in the sunlight without the fear of a deadly virus hampering our ability to move. The past few months have been some of the toughest for nations across the world. Millions have been infected by the COVID-19 virus that has held countries hostage.

Nigerians are living under conditions that were never envisaged. Thankfully, many individuals and organizations are coming together to help.

Recently, MTN Nigeria’s CEO, Ferdie Moolman; MD/CEO, Aliko Dangote Foundation, Zouera Youssoufou and GMD/CEO, Access Plc, Herbert Wigwe, spoke to the media about the CACOVID initiative – Coalition Against COVID-19.

Youssoufou explained the genesis of the coalition “It is a platform that was put together by Alhaji Aliko and Herbert Wigwe. They sat together and said that maybe we should invite other private-sector [companies] to join us and then CACOVID was born.”

“It’s a continuous effort. Are we going to succeed in the endeavour? The answer is absolutely yes!”, Wigwe was insistent on the coalition’s ability to make the right impact.

Moolman explained the urgency for companies and Nigerians across all sectors tp rally round in support of the country at this crucial time, “It’s in time like these that we need to get together and we need to stand together.”

Thankfully, more private organizations are supporting the coalition and we will fight this together! Please, stay safe, stay home. We will find ways to stay alive together.

We will survive!
