EFF MPs disrupted proceedings on Thursday as Parliament heated up ahead of President Jacob Zuma’s question and answer session in the National Assembly. Watch.
EFF MP Mbuyiseni Ndlozi asked to be recognised by Speaker Baleka Mbete which delayed the session from beginning.
“I’m not going to allow you people from the EFF to have these kinds of disruptions” Mbete said trying to remain calm.
Ndlozi went on, “He [Zuma] ridicules us, he must tell us when he must pay back the money, date and time.”
Ndlozi accused ANC MPs of standing back and laughing “like it’s the Trevor Noah show.”
EFF leader Julius Malema got involved in the altercation.
“You can’t tell me to sit down!” Malema yelled, “There’s nothing special about you”, he told the ANC’s Stone Sizani.
Mbete has temporarily suspended the session to meet with party Chief Whips.
