Video: Gambia President Jammeh rejects election result one week after conceding defeat

The initial joy that greeted the entire world at the initial election outcome in Gambia where the incumbent President Yahaya Jammeh had called his opponent, Adama Barrow in the last week’s General election in the country to concede defeat after losing has turned sour as President Jammeh has made a volte face, rejecting the entire election and calling for fresh poll.

In a surprising somersault, Jammeh, who has ruled Gambia for 22 years, announced on state TV that he was rejecting the result, which he  accepted  last week as reflective of the wish of the people of Gambia. He now called for a fresh election.
