Nigerian midfielder Peace Ewomazino Efih has signed a permanent contract with Sporting Braga Feminino, a team competing in the Portuguese Women’s National Championship.
“The Nigerian international, only 22 years old, is yet another attacking option for coach Gonçalo Nunes.
“Peace Ewomazino Efih already works with the rest of the SC Braga squad and may be an option for next Sunday’s game against CA Ouriense,” the club statement read.
She moved to Portugal from the Israeli team Kiryat Gat on a two-year deal with an additional 12-month extension option.
Before departing for abroad in 2019, Efih played for Rivers United and Edo Queens in the Nigeria Women’s Football League.
She spent a year playing for Spanish team Sporting de Huelva in her maiden foray into European football before switching to another club in the country of her birth.
The 22-year-old transferred to Zaragoza CFF in 2020, and after a year there, he joined F.C. Kiryat Gat and traveled to Israel.
The Super Falcons side that placed fourth at the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco included Peace Ewomazino Efih, who scored a goal for Nigeria against Burundi.
