ONDO LIFTS BAN ON LOGGING ACTIVITIES

Ondo State governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has directed that the ban on logging activities in the FREE FOREST areas in the state be lifted.

According to a statement by the Chief press secretary to the governor, Mr Segun Ajiboye the ban on logging activities in the FOREST RESERVES areas in the state, however remain in force.

While assuring the people of the state of his preparedness to work for the general benefit of the people and the development of the state, Governor Akeredolu maintained that the ban on logging activities in the Forest Reserves areas was meant to ensure that the general commonwealth of the people of the state are not pillaged by a few criminally-minded people.

He called on the people to continue to support the government in its onerous task to put the state on the right path of development.
