Governor Tanko Al-Makura on Wednesday confirmed the death of the spiritual head of Eggon nationality, Punch reports.
Alakyo is allegedly responsible for the death of scores of policemen in the Alakyo village area of Lafia East Development Area of the state on May 7, 2013.
Al-Makura also expressed regret that the state had continued to experience a series of communal clashes and security challenges since 2011.
“Sadly, we are recently greeted with yet a recurrence of the crisis between Fulani herdsmen and Agatu farmers in Udeni Magaji District in Udege Development Area and most recently in Oguba area of Loko Development Area,” he said.
He also warned that government would deal ruthlessly with any group that foment crisis in the state.
