Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), yesterday said that oil cartels are blackmailing President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to THE WHISTLE NG, Chief Oyegun describes the current fuel scarcity experienced by Nigerians as an act of “blackmail and sabotage” by “oil cartels and their cronies” on the issue of fuel subsidy.

Speaking to a delegation of APC National Coalition for Peace and Mobilization (NACOPEAM) who paid him a courtesy visit at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, Chief Oyegun said that the gradual removal of fuel subsidy is the only alternative in view of emerging and current realities.

He said the current administration inherited an “infected system of subsidy” run by corrupt cartels, declaring that “in one way or the other, subsidy must go”.
