The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has said that controversial Nigeria rapper, Naira Marley has not been released from their custody.
On Tuesday night, news broke out that arrested musician, Zlatan, regained his freedom alongside his crew members, Tiamiu Abdulrahman Kayode, Adewunmi Adeyanju Moses and Abubakar Musa.
Zlatan Ibile, and his crew members were freed on “bail” after the intervention of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria that Davido hired for them, but they still have to report at the EFCC’s office, every day, till the end of the case.
According to EFCC spokesman, Tony Orilade, the four suspects were only released on administrative bail.
According to him, “There is overwhelming evidence against Naira Marley; so we can’t afford to release him on administrative bail like Zlatan and the three others.
“That Zlatan has been released does not mean they have been discharged and acquitted. Naira Marley is still in our custody and will be charged to court soon and we will make the charges known in an official statement soon.”
