Nigeria reggae musician, Daddy Showkey has condemned the alleged killing of a 20-year-old lady identified as Jessica Ada Ifeanyi, and the injuring of Emmanuel Akomafuwa suspected to be her boyfriend by Police operatives from the Trinity Police Station, Ajegunle, Lagos.
According to the Lagos State Police Command, the incident happened on Saturday morning at about 7am.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana, announced the arrest of the five Police officers and declared Inspector Ojo wanted after absconding.
Elkana said the officers were already facing internal disciplinary actions at the Command’s headquarters, adding that if found wanting, they would be prosecuted in conventional court for murder.
The Command also identified the killer policemen as Inspector Adamu Usman, Sergeant Adeyeye Adeoye, Sergeant Kashim Tijani, Sergeant Lucky Akigbe, Sergeant Paul Adeoye, and Inspector Dania Ojo.
However, reacting to the alleged killing, Daddy Showkey condemned the act and therefore demand the prosecution of the culprits.
He also called on the International community to come to the rescue of Nigerian youths being killed by men of the Nigerian Police.
