Leader of the APC, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, has warned Nigerians to be alert as members of the terrorist Boko Haram group are being displaced about in the country.
Speaking in Lagos on Thursday, Tinubu said Boko Haram must be defeated.
“The major challenge facing this country at the moment is Boko Haram. They must be defeated,” he said.
“But we should not forget that we cannot unilaterally kill all the insurgents. This is because they are faceless. As we displace them, they are moving to other parts of the country as innocent individuals,” he explained.
“So everyone must be alert. Report any strange person in your neighborhood to the police. They are part of the armed robbers, kidnappers and others. So the security of densely populated city like Lagos must be well improved upon. We all must be vigilant.” he warned.
The Boko Haram group have been responsible for many deaths in the country. They gained the world’s attention in 2014 by kidnapping over 200 schoolgirls from Chibok in Borno state.
