Bayelsa: Is Gov. Dickson’s Wife Dead? Media Aide Releases Statement

Governor Seriake Dickson’s social media aide, Dr. Idumange John, has reacted to reports of the demise of Bayelsa governor’s wife, Dr Mrs Rachael Dickson.

The social media was agog on Friday stirring up confusion over the true health status of Dr. Rachael Dickson, wife of Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson. Some news platforms had written of her demise with no disclosure of cause of her reported death.

Reacting, Idumange said the story is “a wretched falsehood propelled by some cruel, frustrated and mindless haters who are envious of the robust support the First Lady gives to her beloved husband Governor Seriake Dickson to serve Bayelsa and humanity in general.”

“Worried by the piece of propaganda, we put a call through to Her Excellency this morning and spoke with her. The First Lady is healthy, energetic and full of life and wondered why political detractors and enemies of progress would want her dead. She said it is obvious that the Almighty God will give her long life and good health to continue to serve as a pillar of support to her beloved husband Governor Seriake Dickson.

“It is important to recall that some frustrated and cruel-minded people in Bayelsa State have made telling lies, propaganda and peddling falsehood their stock-in-trade. We thought this would stop with the successful inauguration of Governor Seriake Dickson for a second term in office.

The statement wished Mrs. Dickson and every member of the first family of Bayelsa State, “good health, long life and divine grace to continue to render selfless services to Bayelsans and humanity in general.
