Audu’s Death: INEC Announces 3 Major Decisions


The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has finally announced how it intends to tackle the controversy arising from the death of Prince Abubakar Audu, Kogi state gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

A circular released by INEC stated that:

1. The Commission will conclude the election in the remaining 91 polling units.
2. INEC will allow the APC to fill the vacancy created by Audu’s death
3. INEC will conduct supplementary election on December 5, 2015.
